    Which Fantasy/SciFi Character Are You?

Well, that's interesting. And I have no idea why I would match him ... more so even after I looked at the list of charaters available.
    Really fun thing to do.

    Taxi drivers
Why oh why ... do I always get the chatty ones? What's wrong with them taxi drivers? Whenever I use a taxi, it's either early in the morning and I have to reach a train or it's late at night or again early morning and I only want to get home. Guess I am to friendly or something. How do you manage to squeeze a life story in a five minute drive? Well, taxi drivers do ... they tell you their whole life in three kilometers, is it what they do? Talk to their clients?
I have no idea why. And even when you're in front of your house they keep talking and talking and ... invite you for coffee or a beer or whatever?
Absolutely strange species .... that's what they are.
I'll go back to fighting about the best way home, those drivers never wanted to chat. I could rant for hours and hours about taxi drivers since I seem to always get the strangest ones but, I need to sleep.
That was the reason I took a taxi in the first place ... to be at home earlier than I would have been if I had walked. Great idea ...

    A day for tears
Sad movies, sad stories everywhere today... currently I am watching "In her shoes" and can't help but cry all the time. It's so sad but some times so funny at the same time, great film! Only I didn't expect it to be this sad, wasn't prepared to be sniffing from start to end.
This afternoon while visiting my sister we caught the end of "Life as a house" another tear-jerker, I am such a cry-baby when it comes to films.
And on top of it, little sister wrote a story this weekend that that when I read it this evening made me cry as well, a short one-shot of Snape's last moments, it's here if you want to read and cry.

Maybe I should search for a little fluffy story now to read.

    Random thoughts
Was watching "Boston Legal" just now and like always the parting scene with Danny and Alan put a smile on my face. Dunno why exactly, but I love that show. Well, a smile today was badly needed.
Feel very much beside myself today, a litte out of control and confused.
Met a very special someone again after 10 years by absolute chance when I had expected to never ever see him again.
You fantasize about it, dream, sometimes wish and other times dread it but never believe that it would happen. And then it does. Completely random. Unexpected and unprepared and you're left feeling utterly confused.
If it were a story it could have either a beautiful happy end or ... well, not.
But, it's not a story and I am not the author ... I guess I am only slowly going mad, well, that's how I feel today.

Need to read something fluffy with happy endings now.

    Fic: White Paws
I started writing this last week when I had to stay in Munich for a few days and was feeling a little down and depressed and wanted to write something lighthearted and fluffy.

Don't know exactly where this came from but it was so relaxing to write, today while waiting at the airport I had to continue and post it. I always thought it would be extremely difficult to write these 100 word thingies but it was fun to write this in chunks of exactly 100 words.

    Here's what I came up with: )

Why did it take me so long to write this? Great big thanks to [info]velja for the encouragement!
I promise to read your latest chapter later today.

    Title: Heroes
    Author: chris
    Fandom: Harry Potter
    Rating: G
Pairing: none in this (chars are Harry, Scorpius and Albus Severus)
    Length: ~2400
    Disclaimer: No, not mine.
Summary: Harry Potter tells a story

A few new WIPs that I follow:

oldenuf2nobetter has started a new story Special Gifts:
Summary: Ten years after a devastating accident costs Harry Potter the love of his life and leaves him with life altering injuries, he is asked to return to Hogwarts to help the child of an old friend, with the help of an old adversary.

It's H/D or not yet but it will be in future parts and just like her other story "That which divides us" has me impatiently waiting for the next part after each new chapter. It's updated every few days and don't let the H/R in the prologue stop you from reading, I have faith in the author's love for Draco.

Mystwriter writes The wand chooses the wizard: It's after DH without the epilogue. Harry is interested in Draco but Draco is straight ... or is he?

A good story I started reading today:
    Never a Memory by GloriaB.
Authors summary: Draco Malfoy loses his memory after the battle that destroyed the Dark Lord for good and Harry Potter finds himself protecting the Malfoy heir from renegade Death Eaters who would see him dead for his actions against Voldemort.

Very good read so far, lots of plot and mystery and I am a sucker for hurt Draco and angry Harry ... this story has both of them at their best.
I was running out of interesting stories to read and surfed a bit around ... this one kept my attention from the prologue on until now at part 23 I really have to sleep to be able to function tomorrow.

Two more post DH fics that I like very much:

    Hard Time by [info]juwel_fic

Summary: The war is over, and the Death Eaters must do hard time in Azkaban.

It's at 11 chapters now and a lot more to come I guess/hope.

    The other one is:
A Love so Belated written by
    [info]slashpervert and [info]sayingsorry_hh
Summary: Harry returns Draco’s wand to him, and is surprised to find that an unlikely friendship develops between them. He isn’t prepared for the desire that grows as he gets to know the other man. Nor is anyone else in either of their lives.

The link is to the first part ... updates are about every two days.

I read an absolutely wonderful fic tonight:
Infinite Shadow of the Soul by [info]femmequixotic

Summary: A chance to stop Voldemort takes Snape and Draco back in time.

Yes, this is Severus/Draco and it's a pairing I read rarely if ever. I stumbled upon this story in my search for a specific cat!Harry fic that I couldn't find anywhere and while perusing [info]painless_j's list of animagus stories somehow this one captured my interest.
It's more of a time travel story and if you like time travel mixed with history it's a must read.
I loved every single part of it ... couldn't stop reading and sometimes held my breath even. It's gripping, captivating and I am still speechless at the absolute beauty of this story.
The S/D ship is wonderful but not the primary focus of the story ... it's the story itself that won't let you go once you start reading.

A quick rec before I have to go to sleep:
That Which Divides Us by oldenuf2nobetter
    Copied from hexfiles:

Summary: Three years after what would have been thier seventh year at Hogwarts, the war between the forces of light and Voldemort's minions grinds on. But even within the ranks of the Order of the Phoenix there are vast disagreements over what is good for 'the chosen one' and his volatile relationship with Draco Malfoy has many on edge. Sometimes even the best intentions can reap disaster.
Genres: Action/Adventure, Angst, AU, Drama, Hurt/Comfort, Romance
    Rating: NC-17
Warnings: Adult Language, Angst, Dubious Consent, Sexual Content, Violence, Hurt/Comfort, D/s

Very very angsty and it hurts just so much! Makes you want to slap Hermione around and hug poor Draco.
It's a great story so far and gets updated every few days. Absolutely worth reading!

Haven't gotten much writing done today, only about 200 words or so and I am so tired right now, can't keep my eyes open.
Getting up at ungodly hours, almost missing the plane and spending another night at a hotel far from home is not exacly my favorite.
Gah ... wish it were tomorrow already and I was at home. Good night for now!

    Book Quiz

You're The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe!

    by C.S. Lewis

You were just looking for some decent clothes when everything changed
quite dramatically. For the better or for the worse, it is still hard to tell. Now it
seems like winter will never end and you feel cursed. Soon there will be an epic
struggle between two forces in your life and you are very concerned about a betrayal
that could turn the balance. If this makes it sound like you're re-enacting Christian
theological events, that may or may not be coincidence. When in doubt, put your trust
    in zoo animals.

Fic: All was well (or not)
Another one finished. I know that I am hopelessly behind the prompts but still, it's a lot more than I have ever written on a regular basis.
Same universe than the two before, timewise it's

Title: All was well (or not)
    Author: chris
    Fandom: Harry Potter
    Rating: G
Pairing: none here (chars in this are H and G)
    Length: ~850
Disclaimer: No, not mine. Sadly so but I only own the plot if there is any.
Summary: Not all is well in the Potter household.

[info]faynia's Prompt #3: "He makes me laugh. Most days, that's enough."

    Fic: Home Alone
This one has gotten a lot longer than I intended it to be but I am really happy now that I finished it. It's part of the same universe that my first one was and I have lots of plot bunnys running amok in my head begging to be written down. Good thing I am spending a few days away from home, hopefully that'll give me time wo write lots more.
I'll try to fit in the prompts but as I am without internet for the next few days I don't know if they'll fit.

    Title: Home alone
    Author: chris
    Fandom: Harry Potter
    Rating: G
Pairing: none yet AS/S later, possibly H/D
    Length: ~1500
Disclaimer: No, not mine. Sadly so but I only own the plot if there is any.
    Summary: Holidays at Malfoy Manor

    Written for [info]faynias bidaily prompts.
Prompt #2: Two children come home to find a strange man asleep in their father's easy chair.
The first idea that popped into my head was completely different from what I have actually written but I like this one more because it gave me so many future scenarios to explore. (The one not written was Snape alive and at the Potters home)

I am very late in writing for [info]faynias prompts but I am still working on it. Still at the second prompt and only wrote maybe another 300 words today but I am writing.

I hope living in a hotel for the next few days might make me write more. Or maybe Luxemburg will be so exciting that I don't get any time to write at all.
As I have never been there before, there might be a few things to visit, if I am not tired after work.
And because I have to drive there early tomorrow morning, no more writing today for me.

I wrote 200 words just now for the next prompt and I am nowhere near where the ficlet should go.

Well, at least i know where I want it to go and hopefully I am able to write the next few hundred words
    tomorrow after work.
    Feels good to be writing.
